Holiday Recap + Photos

Every Christmas Eve the entire family comes to our place to have a big potluck feast and stay up 'til midnight to open presents together.  This celebration is something I always look forward to the whole year.

Even though a handful of family members were missing this year, we celebrated with two new additions - my new baby nephew Raphael and cousin-in-law Jeff.  Welcome to the family guys! 

There's nothing more special than celebrating with people you love.  I'm so blessed to have such an amazing family. ♥

Snowed In

after we shoveled three times during the day!

I'm sure you've heard, it's snowing like crazy over here on the east coast. During weather like this, I'm so happy I work from home.  So far Jersey City has about 5 inches and they say it’s supposed to get worse.  I've been trying to keep myself busy by catching up on movies, one of which was Lovely Bones that my cousin, Gale, recommended a few months back.  I also finally started knitting the scarf I promised my brother - hopefully I get that finished up this week.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

I love Christmas and all the warm fuzzy feelings that comes with it.  I still can't believe it's a few days away!

Unfortunately, we don't have a real tree, but we use scented candles to compensate for the smell.  :)

We have a pair of Vintage Victorian dolls.  The other half sitting on the other side.  They creep me out like this whenever they're together.

Sophia Loren is someone who inspires me the most, not only for her bombshell status but for her strength while growing up in a life of poverty and fear.  It's almost hard to believe this voluptuous actress was nicknamed 'Toothpick' -- but that's just by her friends.  Of course, she grew up to become highly accomplished.
