Elizabeth Taylor as Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (c.1956)
Today, one of Hollywood's legendary beauties, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, passed away at the age of 79 due to heart failure. Not only was she an iconic film actress, but she was also known for her glamorous style. She often dressed in simple, yet sexy satin dresses usually complimented by jewelry that she was also never afraid to show off. In fact, she made diamonds a part of her daily wardrobe - it was like a secret love affair.
In addition to being a fashion icon, Elizabeth became an advocate for HIV and AIDS awareness. After the death of her friend, Rock Hudson, she used her success to open The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and raised millions for the cause.
Elizabeth Taylor's kind heart, beauty, and style are legendary.
